Bijapur is an ancient town situated in the northwest of Bangalore. Bijapur is the capital of the Adil Shahi dynasty. What make the city famous are its monuments that are excellent examples of South Indian style of architecture. The Jumma Masjid also houses a copy of the holy Quran, written in gold.
